Any visitor can visit all the above exhibitions with a ticket of Rs.5 every Saturday to Wednesday during office hours [ 9.15 AM to 4.45 P.M] but students of schools/colleges/universities can apply group-wise for the above exhibitions through their respective authorities. In that case, if the institution is in Dhaka city, they can also apply for a free museum bus for their transportation. The sky is observed through a powerful telescope every Saturday and Sunday evening with ten tickets for each visitor. Observation of the sky is possible only when the sky is clear. b) Educational activities: popular science lectures, scientific film shows, children’s science festivals, quiz competitions, seminars and symposiums, library services, internet browsing services, etc.
Generally, popular science lectures are held for a period of three months with one lecture per week. Renowned soil scientists gave science lectures. The subject may be an astronomical, astronomical, cosmological, medical, biotechnological, environmental, or contemporary scientific crisis, etc. Science lectures are open to anyone interested. The scientific film exhibition is held every Wednesday at 11.00 am. This film show is also open to all. The children’s Science Festival is held once a year. Only third to seventh-class students can participate in the festival through registration by paying a certain amount of money.
It is a day-long event that fosters scientific creativity in children. Quiz competitions are held randomly among the group-based student audience from educational institutions without any notice. First, second and third-place winners were awarded their respective prizes. However, consolation prizes are awarded to all participants. Seminars and symposiums are organized on special occasions. Library services are open to all only during office hours [Sunday to Thursday 9.15 a.m. to 4.45 P.M.] This library has more than 5000 scientific and technical books.
